Lifestyles Team flying the CV Life flag at corporate Wellbeing event

It was slightly different settings for CV Life’s Lifestyles team late last month thanks to a corporate Wellbeing event held alongside Coventry City Council.

Membership Sales Manager Scott Sowerby took his colleagues to Broadgate House to talk about all things health and fitness with council staff members on Monday, March 27.

He was joined by colleague Simon Blay, as well as Rachel Brooks from award-winning Mana Spa who brought therapists to give massage treatments to really put people at ease.

The event was an opportunity to work with a close corporate partner, giving their staff industry-leading advice and treatments, all while showing the fantastic services on offer to those with a CV Life membership.

Talking about the day, Scott said: “We attended the Coventry City Council Wellbeing Week to support their Children’s Services team who offer a valuable service to the community.

“Their wellbeing week is designed to reward and help their members of staff, by arranging various different activities for them to complete during the week, with a heavy focus on monitoring their own health.

“They had nutrition discussions, mindfulness talks and we were there to offer body MOTs, measuring body fat, hydration levels, muscle mass, metabolic age and more.

“We had pre-arranged bookings with council staff who came to us to get their height and body composition measured. We then sat them down, spoke through their results as Rachel and Joanna from Mana Spa gave hand massages.

“We discussed the benefits of having a CV Life Membership, specifically The Wave as it is just a 90 second walk from where they are based, after we’d finished the consultation each person went away with a free day pass.

“Working with the Council is important as we have such a good partnership with them across different areas of our work.

“They are a valued corporate partner, and we are a trusted leisure facility for them, so we try to help out on outreach as much as possible and give back.”
